To a small degree, I have been using Twitter to broadcast my posts, particularly those on the current conflict.

In my case, I don't have enough followers, however, I can see where it could be a valuable tool if you do have multitudes of followers.

I am inspire_emotion on Twitter, btw.

Excellent article, Kirk. :)

To Kirk Petersen, It take a great deal of courage and discipline to step into this gap. I've read your viewpoint, but you have CHOSEN to set it aside. I know people on both sides of this conflict, but their views are amazingly the same, peace. But peace comes from both sides and not just one. There is no easy answer! Every answer that may bring real peace comes with a real price. Yes, I am talking about sacrifice on both sides, not just one. It must come with with an eternal commitment.

Let me say this about myself, I'm a Disabled American Veteran from wartime. A question, What is war? It is a breakdown in actual communication. Communication means different things, verifiable honesty, measured speaking and actually listening. In this Country, there is a saying, this is the reason we have two ears and only one mouth. This is the thing Mr. Petersen is trying to communicate on different levels.

What is missing? I addressed this to "Mr. Kirk Petersen", I have not mentioned the combatants. I hope you will find your thread of communication.

I am a guest from "TheDonovan.com

As Always
Grumpy

Glad to see someone is reading my tweets :-)

You are right that twitter is helping ordinary citizens interact - I follow Beshrkayali well before the Gaza war as we are both using the Django open source project to build web sites. I find most of his Gaza tweets very depressing as his tweets are mostly the same old Arab propaganda. I was hoping young, well-educated Arabs will be looking for ways to end the conflict and not spread the hate.
